CORRESPONDING SECRETARY:
Americas Family Pet Expo is coming in April 15-17. The World Pet Association Inc., asked if the
club wanted to have a table at the expo. The dates clash with the Nationals, but if anyone wants to
volunteer see Kathy Smith.
The club received an AKC folder about dog related legislation. It contains information on how to
engage and lobby government. If you are interested in the information please see Kathy Smith.
Kathy Smith asked all club members to email her regarding any dog related legislation and she will
bring to the club’s attention.

TREASURER:
Our current balance is $5502.09.
Treasurer Valerie Brown filled out the membership application for the California Federation of Dog
Clubs but has not yet sent it in. Treasurer Valerie Brown also applied for a new bank card.

OLD BUSINESS:
The 501c4 was submitted and is being processed. The club should know soon if it is accepted.
Dale Van Camp will provide the new donation form when the club has been approved.
Will not have a Meet the Breed booth at the Silver Bay dog show. Kristi said the form did not get in
time and the booth space was filled.

Show News:
Please see Kathy Smith if you want to make donations for Trophies at the Nationals. The club has
contracted an artist for $1500 so donations are needed and welcome. Donations can be made to
SCCC for SCCC show trophies or CCA for CCA show trophies. All donations will need to be
provided a couple of days before entries close.
Members at the meeting were provided with a schedule of events sheet for the Nationals. Dale Van
Camp discussed the schedule. It will be posted on the club website.
National’s premium lists went to print today and will be mailed in two weeks. If you do receive a
premium list by the end of the month see Dale Van Camp.
Members were encouraged to eat at the Banquet and stay at the hotel at banquet during
Nationals. This will support the club.
There will be CCG testing at the show. $15 for CCG testing will go back to club. See Linda Randall
for more information.
All ads for the catalog need to be placed by March 11th.
To be a vendor at the show you require a resale license.
Donations for the gift bags are still needed. There will be a Bag filling party at the Crosses. The
date will be posted when we receive the Purina bags.
Sandy is donating bowls to the Auction.  Cory Fry made dog neckerchiefs for the gift bags. Beverly
Lafluer made dog toys. Donna Greenamyer made brain balls for gift bag.

NEW MEMBERS:
2nd Vice President Pat Campbell did second reading for James and Jackie Travis, Nona Gow and
Teresa West. Votes were then cast.  James and Jackie Travis were elected. Nona Gow was
elected. Teresa West was not elected.

NEW BUSINESS:
Mark Burhart’s online dog magazine, http://www.showbiz4dogs.com, was discussed. You can
advertise your dog on the website for $35. Showbiz for dogs. Mark has donated a free ad online
for all National show winners.
Pat Campbell proposed a motion for the club to donate a free ad in the Nationals catalog for
Browns’ top 20 Long Coat Chihuahua due to the flooding at house. The motion was seconded by
Ron Matranga. There were no objections or discussions. The motion was passed.
Dorothea Cross brought PA system and asked if the club want to use it at meetings and club
matches. Kathy Smith proposed a motion for the club to purchase the PA from the Crosses for
$25. Pat Campbell seconded the motion.  There were no objections or discussions. The motion
was passed.
The Crosses know a person who wants to join the club but is unable to come to a meeting (a
requirement for membership as per the constitution) due to medical reasons and distance. There
were discussions about how the club could accommodate these situations and still abide to the
club constitution. Kathy Smith said CCA allow a video to be submitted with a sponsor due to
medical reasons. Kathy Smith asked if we could submit a bylaw to allow for a video submission in
these circumstances. There were discussions about if constitutional amendments are allowed. It
was agreed that the club can only change the constitution every 5 years, as per the constitution.
Using Skype to attend a meeting was discussed as an option, or if attending a puppy match with a
meeting would be allowed. Dale Van Camp will look further into the matter.

ADJOURNED:  The Meeting was adjourned at 7:55pm by First Vice President Dale Van Camp.
